  TGIF – Meatballs In Crockpot

  A recipe that a girlfriend gave me and that my family loves, I ususally make it on football game days to snack on and I have made it several times for gatherings with friends. I know it will sound weird but trust me its very good.

  Take 1 bag of frozen meatballs,  2.45 pond bag, I usually get any brand.

  4 bottles of Chili Sauce (12oz each)

  1 jar concord grape jelly (12 oz)

  Mix together in a crock pot and cook for about 4-5 hours on high then they are done. I usually leave them on low heat while we eat on them.

  My husband thought I was crazy the 1st time I made this for him now he asks for them.  Try it let me know what you think.

  End of the Democratic Convention, Obama and Biden

  Last night brought to an end the Democratic Convention, where Barack Obama accepted the Democrats‘ nomination to be the party’s candidate in the 2008 race for the White House.The crowd filling Denver’s 76,000-seat Mile High Stadium and the opening acts by superstars Sheryl Crow and Stevie Wonder.

  In his speech, the candidate laid out what he would do for the country if elected: cut taxes for working families, get out of Iraq, end dependency on foreign oil and make affordable health care accessible to all. With words that brought the crowd to its feet, Obama appealed to the compassion of the individual. “That’s the promise of America,” he said, “the fundamental belief that I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sister’s keeper.”

  David Duchovny Enters Rehab for Sex Addiction

  I came across this article in people , and it caught my eye. David Duchovny best know for his role in X-files, has entered for treatment of Sex Addiction.  He has asked for privacy for his fmaily and kids as he and his family deal with this situation. In a recent role he plays a sex-obsessed character on Showtime’s “Californication”, The second season of “Californication” begins Sept. 28. As reported by the associated press.

  I guess I expect this of Paris and Lindsay, but David Duchovny, maybe the aliens made him do it.

  American Idol Fans are you Ready for 4th Judge

  With waiting anticipation for the 8th season to start in January, News of a 4th judge has been announced.How will the dynamics of the judges be affected, just when we have it down on how we expect each judge to vote, to respond, now another is being added.  Grammy-nominated songwriter Kara DioGuardi is joining American Idol as a judge.

  DioGaurdi is certainly qualified for the job, having written songs for artists as diverse as Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Santana, and Pink. Even Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers have released DioGuardi’s songs.

  And at least one executive at FOX, Mike Darnell, the network’s president of alternative programming, believes that original female judge Paula Abdul deserves some companionship.

  “For the past seven seasons, Paula has had to endure the experience of being the only woman at the judges’ table,” Darnell said in a statement. “With Kara by her side, Paula finally has some back-up and now there is going to be a lot more ‘girl power’ on the show.”

  Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift A Couple??

  If you were one of the lucky ones that went to the Rascal Flatts concert, first of all what great music.  Rascall Flatts has so many good songs, and what a concert.
  Anyway, Taylor Swift opened for Rascal Flatts, and she had a special friend show up to support her show. DId any one who went to the concert happen to see Joe Jonas trying to blend in with the crowd?

  Is Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas a couple, it is reported in people at this point they are just friends.  They are young and having fun, I hope these two people don’t try and grow up to fast.

  Following the Bigfoot Claim

  Just a follow up to this post, of course it has been determined that this is a hoax, turned out that it was a frozen rubber suit. Click here to view information on Hoax.

  I just got more information that CNN is still following the Bigfoot find and clarification and we are awaiting with baited breath on the findings.  Seems like possible hoax to me especially with the youtube postings made.

  Read the story for yourself and decide, what do you think is behind this finding. I can wait for the conclusion.

  PROOF OF BIGFOOT

  When growing up as a kid there were storys going around about whether or not Big Foot existed, oh the documentaries I have watched all the Movies, Harry and the Hendersons (1987), which became a sitcom from 1991-1993.

  Now I am seeing a story in CNN where a policeman and a former correction officer have proof and that they are evidence of what they claim is their biggest find ever: the body of Bigfoot. The carcass of the furry half-man, half-ape is 7 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs more than 500 pounds, they say. However, the two are not disclosing the exact location of their discovery to protect the remaining creatures.

  DNA tests on the body have begun, said the statement, and “extensive scientific studies” will be done on the body by scientists, including a molecular biologist, an anthropologist and a paleontologist.

  Read the entire story, I am waiting for the result of the DNA tests before I can acknowledge that Big Foot really exists.  Sad thou if it is true, that after all these years he has been taken from elusive to caught, and that the story will end here.

  No more searching for the creature that has never been proven. What will the big foot searchers do for fun now, I wonder if they have considered the Loch Nest Monster!

  Kenny Chesney: The Poets & Pirates Tour

  I have been a fan of Kenney Chesney for years, I have all of his CD’s, and I have been to all of his concerts when he comes to the Cruzn Amphitheatre, West Palm Beach, FL.  I even went and saw him when he played in Tampa for a huge concert, where Carrie Underwood, Big &  Rich,  Dierks Bently to name a few shared the stage with him there in Tampa.  It was a great concert.

  Kenny always seems to entertain the crowd, and his following is big here in Palm Beach County. He is now coming back to Palm Beach County his concert is on Thursday, Aug 28, 2008 07:30 pm. He is appearing with LeAnn Rimes.

  Of course one of the best things about a Kenny Chesney concert  is the tailgating that happens prior to the concert.  Kenny has several times come out while the tailgating is going on and talked to the fans.

  I will be there and I will report back after the concert and let you know how it went, order your tickets here and I will see you at the concert.

  40-Year-Old Virgin actor Shelley Malil arrested

  Malil, 43, of Sherman Oaks, has been booked on suspicion of attempted murder and is being held on $2million bail. His ex-girlfriend, 35-year old Kendra Beebe is in critical condition with 20 stab wounds but is expected to survive the attack.

  A veteran Hollywood actor best known for his performance in “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” Malil played Haziz, one of star Steve Carell’s co-workers at an electronics retail store in the “The 40-Year-Old-Virgin.” He also has appeared in dozens of TV shows, including “NYPD Blue” and “Scrubs.” He has been arrested in connection with an attack that San Diego County authorities said left his former girlfriend in critical condition with 20 stab wounds.

  Malil was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, mayhem and burglary and is being held in lieu of $2-million bail at the Vista Detention Center. His arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday.
  Authorities said there was no immediate motive for the attack, However: “Malil and the victim had apparently been in a dating relationship which recently ended.”

  Police were summoned to a San Marcos residence when neighbors reported hearing glass breaking and a woman screaming for help.

  The victim, Kendra Beebe, was transported to a local hospital where she initially was reported in critical condition with stab wounds and cuts to her face. Two children  were sleeping in the home during the attack(ages 2 and 4), authorities said.

  The great thing about last season is that we likely will not be worse. So with that in mind, and a clean slate of players and management, we can believe in a new era. We’ll miss Zach and Jason, but don’t we miss Dan Marino, Don Shula and many others that left too soon? Zach wasn’t gonna last forever, we could have used Taylor for a few more seasons as well, but here we are! The fans love the memories, so let’s stand up and root for the legend that is the dolphins. Anyway.. cool video of the Great Dolphins past and the heartbreaking dolphins of recent years. Let’s get to the Super Bowl!

  Now here is a headline you just don’t see often:

  Defendant trades murder plea for KFC, pizza.

  After Reading the story of how a  New York man pleaded guilty to murder in Oregon in exchange for buckets of fried chicken will get calzones and pizza to go with his life sentence.  I got to thinking wouldn’t it be cool if we could get alot of other criminals to come forward take their punishment, with the lure that they would receive KFC, pizza, calzones and all the trimmings, it would take alot of food, but then we could cut back on the legal system just feed them and then let them serve their time.  There is a kicker at the end of this story thou Tremayne Durham, 33 the man we are discussing also got married Wednesday in a civil ceremony at the Portland courthouse. The wedding to Vanessa Davis, 48, also of New York City, was not part of the plea deal that will give Durham a chance for parole after 30 years.  I wonder if she will have KFC, pizza and calzone waiting for him when he gets out on parole??

  What &#$@ Favre a New York Jet

  As if it was not bad enough that Jason Taylor, who in my opinion is a Miami Dolphin  and one of the best we had is now a Washington Red Skin,  Zach Thomas another Dolphin one of the best we had went to Dallas, I live in Florida and have been a fan for years, Dan Marino and Don Shula  we have such great memories. However last year as we all know the Dolphins were horrible with new quarterbacks, and coaches, it was hard to be a fan.  I am hopefull that this year we might see improvement, but then all the trading took place and two of our favorite players are no longer there.

  I wake up this morning and now its official that the Green Bay Packers reached a deal Wednesday night to send quarterback Brett Favre to the New York Jets. First of all it no secret that the Jets and Dolphins really don’t like each other just go to one of their games.  I liked Bret Favre and he is of course a great quaterback, but now a New York Jet, I thought he was retiring. As a dolphin fan one of the first rules are we don’t like the Jets.  I was pulling for Favre last year I wanted him to do well and break the records he broke last year.(even thou in our eyes Dan Marino is still the best   ) The Dolphins first game is with the Jets they are a tough team, and if the Dolphins play as good as they did last year then we already know the outcome don’t we. But we shall see Sunday 9/7/08 1:00 pm, Dolphins vs Jets the game is on.

  Texas death row

  I just read an article from CNN regarding an inmate in the Texas State prison, Medellin was 18 when he took part in the June 1993 gang rape and murder of two Harris County girls, Jennifer Ertman, 14, and Elizabeth Pena, 16. He was convicted of the crimes and sentenced to death.  However it would seem that his attorneys and the president and the supreme court have alot if issues still trying to be worked out.  Read the entire article.

  I do think this person should remain in the United States and serve a prison term perferable life for the act in which he was found guilty for.  There are alot of hands involved in this case, and Texas does not mess around when you are on death row there.

  If his execution goes thru  Medellin’s execution would be the first of what promises to be a busy month at the state’s death chamber in Huntsville. Five other men are scheduled to die by lethal injection in the next four weeks.

  Morgan Freeman in Good Spirits

  Another tragedy for  Dark Night this time involving Morgan Freeman….

  The actor Morgan Freeman  age 71,was listed yesterday in serious condition following a car accident in Mississippi.

  The Actor who currently costarts in the Dark Knight, has a broken arm, broken elbow and minor shoulder damage. He is facing surgery either today or tomorrow.

  According to police  Freeman’s 1997 Nissan Maxima was heading eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 when the car went off the edge of the road and overturned several times before coming to a stop. The actor and an  passenger(Demaris Meyer,) were removed from the vehicle using the jaws of life and then airlifted to the hospital.

  Our thoughts and prayers are with the actor and his family.
