You may be surprised to know that Larry the cable guy Alma Mater was Berean Christian, a wonderful school located in West Palm Beach, Florida.
But something that does not come as a surprise he has a big heart, you can see that when he talks about his daughter. However now the cat is out of the bag because he has come to the rescue of Berean Christian. After a 27-year hiatus Berean Chrsitian will be playing football again thanks to the support of Larry the Cable Guy, aka Dan Whitney.
“I have a lot of great memories from that school, I had always wanted to be able to do something for them, but I didn’t know what it was going to be. Then when the football thing came back, I’m like, ‘Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about!”
Berean had a team for five years, from 1977 to 1981, but it dissolved because of a lack of interest.
Larry the Cable guy played in 1980 and ’81, and he graduated in 1982.
The amount has not been disclosed but that is of little matter, his doantion took care of all that was needed to get this football team from the ground up. Berean Christian has a game on Sept. 5 home opener against Temple Christian.
And to pay tribute to the person who helped make this happenplayers and parents wearing the same T-shirt.
